MetalCasting Congress 2024 Kicked Off in Milwaukee

Following the pandemic, the United States is set to lead the global foundry industry gradually back to its former glory.

The annual Foundry Congress hosted by the American Foundry Society took place from April 23rd to 25th this year in Milwaukee, with a three-day exhibition having approximately 250 exhibitors from around the world. It’s easy to notice the participation of multinational giants in this event, as the United States ranks third globally in foundry production, making it a market where international players seek a foothold. Our company, TEMC, is certainly not lagging behind, dedicated to promoting green foundry materials, customized services, and global sales to various parts of the world.

Expectations were high for a gradual recovery of the foundry industry post-pandemic, but the global trend seems not as anticipated. However, this year marks the second year of exhibitions in the United States post-pandemic. In this foundry exhibition, both exhibitors and visitors showed a noticeable increase in enthusiasm compared to 2022. This shows that the U.S. foundry industry is slowly emerging from its slump, hinting at a return to previous production levels. This stands in strong contrast to the continued downturn in the Asian foundry economic. It is hoped that with the leadership of the United States, the global foundry industry will quickly return to its former prosperity and be ready to welcome the triennial CastExpo in Atlanta next year, reaching a new peak for the foundry industry.

During this exhibition, President Zhang Libo and Vice President Gao Wei of the China Foundry Association, introduced by our company, held discussions with Mr. Doug Kurkul and Mr. Ben Yates, CEO and Vice President of the American Foundry Society, on how to assist the recovery of the Asian foundry industry and plan future exchanges between the cross-strait and the United States, all working together for the global foundry industry.

The most eye-catching and highly inquired products at our TEMC booth this year are the independently developed highly exothermic SLD risers and paper runner PT-Runner, representing green foundry material. With worldwide promoting ESG and issues such as carbon taxes and carbon neutrality are gaining traction, we, as a customer-centric company, propose solutions to help customers develop customized products and reduce carbon emissions. Upholding the vision of “MAKE FOUNDRY CLEAN, AND HAPPY WORK,” TEMC will continue to expand our product roadmap and develop new types of green foundry materials, providing better products and professional service solutions to foundries.
