Grand Opening of Germany’s Four Major International Foundry Exhibitions in 2023

GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, and NEWCAST Were Jointly Held
Four Key Themes of “Sustainability, Digital Transformation, Circular Economy, and New Production Technologies”

The 16th World International Metal and Foundry Products Exhibition has been held from June 12th to 16th, 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The show was jointly exhibited by GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, and NEWCAST, attracted exhibitors and visitors from all over the the world. With a focus on global energy transition, the exhibition revolved around four key themes: “Sustainable Business,” “Digital Transformation,” “Circular Economy,” and “New Production Technologies.” Various seminars and lectures were conducted, with particular emphasis on the exchange of ideas between countries on AI ( Artificial Intelligence) and the path to green industry transformation.

This exhibition of the four major events was participated by 56 countries/regions, with approximately 2,200 exhibitors coming together to showcase their products and services. The exhibition attracted around 63,300 visitors from around the world, with more than half of them coming from the countries out of Europe. This highlights the high demand for European metallurgy and foundry technologies, particularly from countries such as India, the United States, and China. There were totally 11 exhibitors from Taiwan participating in the exhibition, including foundry material suppliers and casting suppliers. The Taiwan Casting Industry Association and the Taiwan Foundry Society also organized a delegation to visit the exhibition.

Due to the impact of the pandemic in last two years, the communication between the foundry associations of Taiwan and China has been interrupted for a long time. Therefore, TEMC has facilitated a meeting between the leaders of the foundry associations from both sides at the exhibition. They had a valuable discussion on expressing that green foundry is a common goal for development, we all expect a great potential for unlimited cooperation between Taiwan and China in the future.

Whether they are existing or potential customers, the booth is filled with continuous discussions, reflecting how TEMC has been endeavor on providing solutions for its customers and helping them develop customized products after the covid-19 pandemic era and face the global changes. TEMC’s proactive approach has positioned them successfully in this forward-looking market.
