Ashland's Casting Solutions business taps Taiwan distributor TEMC for alliance

DUBLIN, Ohio (USA) - Ashland's presence in the Asian foundry marketplace continues to increase as Ashland Casting Solutions, a business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical, a division of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), announces an agreement with TEMC, Metal and Chemical Corp. of Taiwan. The agreement provides TEMC an exclusive right to distribute Ashland Casting Solutions binders and EXACTCAST® sleeve technologies to Taiwanese foundries.
"TEMC is a leading sleeve and coating supplier for the metal casting industry in Taiwan. The strong relationship of TEMC with Taiwanese foundries will enable Ashland Casting Solutions to sell products in these areas more effectively. We achieve success in GIFA Fair 2003. |

GIFA Fair 2003, is the biggest exhibition of the world over
fifty percent of the visitors at GIFA 2003 joined from countries
other then Germany the leading foreign European nations were
France, Italy, Austria and Holland and the Asia visitors who
came from "China, India..."
TEMC Metal & Chemical Corporation (TEMC), the major supplier
of the foundry material. Our main products are sleeves, mould
coatings for iron and steel foundries and we also produce the
fluxes (degassing agent, DeMag agent... etc) for Aluminum
foundry.
In this Fair, we got a lot of inquires from foreign nations most
of the visitors who interested in our products came from India,
Iran, and some of them came from Europe, like Germany, Italy,

Once every four years "GIFA 2003" will come soon.
GIFA has been allocated Halls 3, 10 to 12 and 15 to 17. Particularly
large-scale machinery manufacturers, especially from Denmark,
Great Britain, Spain and Turkey, are booking more stand space.
Currently GIFA has drawn 630 exhibitors from 38 countries (including
296 German companies) and the net area booked stands at 41,600
square metres.

Taiwan's foundries had much experince in Iron casting and
Steel casting for a long time. But we could find the trend
of casting industry. More and more foundries try to imporve
the quality or find out th niche market, eg. Aluminum casting
and Alloy.
Our market position is the professional casting material
supplier, and we do research in advanced products which can
improve the casting quality and reduce the cost. Today we
